Domaine des Girasols

Rhône, France

1974 was the year when Domaine des Girasols was established when Paul and Marie-Elisabeth Joyet discovered the vineyards of Rasteau and fell in love with this magnificent place nestled on the hillside. Reading an agricultural dictionary dating from 1750 guided them in choosing the name “GIRASOLS”, which is a kind of opal.

The estate enjoys an exceptional location at the foot of the medieval village of Rasteau, facing the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. All the vineyards within the estate are terraces and hillsides, which extend around the cellar and house.
