Château La Rame

Bordeaux, France

Château La Rame lies in the heart of a remarkable and historical site which has been nicknamed “la toscane bordelaise” - the Tuscany of Bordeaux. An old property in the Bordeaux region, with a unique terroir made up of clay-limestone hillsides. La Rame (le Roc in old French) during the Revolution was the property of the Baron de Vertheuil who was the Governor of the Ile d’Oléron and Lord of the Rame!

The now family-owned estate, Château La Rame makes some of the most delicious wines we know from the Entre-Deux-Mers region, Bordeaux’s capital of fresh white wine and round, fruity reds. However, they are also located in the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, an area known for its lacy yet unctuous sweet wines. The Armand family currently owns and works with 50 hectares of vines and are committed to using some of the most ecological farming methods. Besides responsible farming, they also produce some delicious wines that have been winning awards since the 1800s.
