Husband and wife team Matt Reid and Marcy Webb conceived The People’s Wine Revolution to bring great wines to all at reasonable prices. Their goal is to make wines every bit as good as those as some of the best estates in California, but at a fraction of the prices… “Ruling class wines at working class prices!” is their motto. What they deliver is sheer pleasure! This Zinfandel from Mendocino County is beautiful, with layered, ripe fruit flavours including raisins, blackberry and raspberry, and a deliciously plump texture. An approachable style of wine, but extremely fulfilling nonetheless.
Robin says "Zinfandel is the same grape as Italian Primitivo, but it usually has a very different personality in California's climate. Despite its ripe compote fruit core, this wine still has good lift and freshness no doubt due to the fact that it comes from a vineyard planted at 900 feet in Mendocino, the county that lies due north of Sonoma."
