Wine information
The Ten Sisters and their brother are fourth-generation New Zealanders, and their ancestors were among the first settlers of the southern tip of the South Island of New Zealand. After WW2 Robert King, along with his wife Mary, bought 750 acres of wild land, and created a farm where the winery sits today. Ellie Bartow, daughter of one of the Ten Sisters, and her husband Dennis now manage the family’s wine business. This classic Marlborough Sauvignon has a delightfully fragrant and complex bouquet showing aromas of appetizing tropical fruit and white flowers. The palate is elegant with refined acidity and ripe flavours. It has good concentration and length on the palate, excellent structure and a well-balanced finish. You would find it so hard not to love this!
Robin says "Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc took the world by storm quite a number of years ago, and it has remained one of the most popular wines. This 2019 from Ten Sisters exudes all the tropical moreishness associated with the style, but in a nicely sculpted, fresh package."
