Albury Estate is the Surrey home of the Duke of Northumberland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on the southern slopes of the North Downs, owner Nick Wenman cultivated the vineyard in 2009 after having retired from the IT industry to fulfil his dream of owning a vineyard. Together with excellent winemakers, his talented vineyard manager Alex, daughter Lucy they are committed to organic and biodynamic principles. Made from a classic Champagne grape blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, the Albury Estate’s Limited Release Cuvee is pale golden straw in colour with some perfumed floral strawberry and citrus notes on the nose. The palate is rich and creamy with a nicely developed complexity and creaminess enhancing its spicy undertones. Medium acidity and well balanced with a persistent mousse. Excellent as an aperitif but big enough to drink with most foods.
