Bodega Familia Schroeder Deseado NV
Bodega Familia Schroeder is the fruit of the effort of a family of entrepreneurs who made their dream come true. In 2001, Herman Heinz Teodoro Schroeder, the son of pioneering German immigrants in Patagonia, decided to invest in vineyards with his children. Patagonia is one of the most southerly wine growing regions in the world and characterised by its unique microclimate and cooler air that creates a more elegant style of New World wine. This Deseado is a naturally sweet sparkling wine made with select Torrontés grapes and achieved from a single fermentation. So fresh and fruity, it is an ideal apéritif or accompaniment to cheeses, nuts and desserts. Incredibly moreish, so make sure you have a job lot in the cooler!
Robin says "For those who like Asti Spumante or Moscato d'Asti, this is a delicious alternative which is a little rounder and a touch richer. Ample with aromatic notes of peaches, apricots and other fruits. Delicious on its own or with tapas and mezze."
