Botter Wines is based in the Veneto not far from the city of Venice. Family-owned and run, they have been a tour de force in winemaking for the past 80 or so years. In addition to the wines they make from the own region, they also produce wines from southern Italy. Despite having such a diverse range, they are capable of producing wines with lots of appeal that are representative of their region. Their Chardonnay has lots of fresh orchard and citrus fruits that one expects from unoaked styles. Easy and appealing.
Robin says "Botter produces appealing wines at particularly friendly prices. Their Chardonnay is a perfect example that is round and plump and since no oak was used in its ageing, it really focuses on its innate fruit character."
