Cape Town Wine Co. Sauvignon Blanc 2019
£7.15
Cape Town Wine Co. story starts in 1707 with Meldt van der Spuy after he left Rotterdam and boarded a ship in search of adventure. After travelling the world across 5 years, the calling of the Cape Town and its vineyards was far too strong to settle anywhere else. Meldt’s descendant, Sybrand van der Spuy, owns the prestigious Cape Point Vineyards today, and is the founder of the Cape Town Wine Co. This is a distinctly Capetonian Sauvignon Blanc with tones of citrus, pineapple, Golden Delicious apple and ripe pear on the nose. Moderately lush but chiselled and crisp. Finishes on a whiff of celery.
Robin says "Cape Point Wine Co. (alongside Cape Point Vineyards) excels at embracing all the freshness of the region and transposing it into their wines. A refreshing, inviting wine for an everyday pick me up."
