Château Jacquet de la Grave Bordeaux 2019
£8.50
Owned by the Magnan Family and located in Moulon (about 50 min east from Bordeaux), Château Jacquet de la Grave is a medium-sized winery typical of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Their 40 hectares of vineyards are planted to a majority of Merlot followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Their wine style is fruit forward and friendly but with a dash of earthiness expressive of the Bordeaux soil. Their 2019 embodies the same style. Fragrant with ripe red plum, black cherries and tobacco. Simple, but bright and fresh.
Robin says 'A well-priced red that offers lots of ripe fruit but remains fresh. A perfect wine for a barbecue, summer picnic or a zesty pasta dish.'
