We absolutely love Château La Rame's Les Coteaux de la Rame, a dessert wine produced with similar methods to Sauternes. Their 2018 is lifted, lacy and fresh with notes of candied yellow plums, mandarin, pineapple and honey. This would nicely accompany a smidge of Stilton or even some sweet biscuits for an afternoon treat.
Robin says "Sainte-Croix-du-Mont is a wonderful undiscovered appellation. I really appreciated this wine on first sip. It would make an ideal quaffer for those that love Sauternes-styles but with less weight."
