Château Rocher Corbin Montagne Saint-Emilion 2012
Located in one of St. Emilion’s satellite areas - Montagne-Saint-Emilion - Château Rocher Corbin is a small family-owned property that produces some of the most delicious wines of its appellation. Only a stone’s throw from the grandiose town of Saint-Emilion (okay, more like a 5-minute car ride), its soil contains some of the same highly esteemed limestone that gives Right Bank wines its pure fruit and notable minerality. Owned by the same family for four generations, the Château produces three wines, including their flagship Rocher Corbin. Their 2012 is what the French call “à point” or “on point” and is at its perfect drinking window. It opens with a gorgeous nose of forest floor, truffles, sweet dried fruits, leather and gentle spice. So moreish! Try to drink just one bottle…
Robin says 'This is such a gorgeous bottle that not only definites what Right Bank wine is like, but it would also appeal to those who love Sangiovese-based wines like Brunello and Chianti. This is one of my favourite reds on the Wine&Something list.'
