Domaine Gueguen Chablis Grand Cru Blanchots 2017
£55.00
A concentrated, tightly-wound traditionally-styled Chablis of great minerality and length with muscular notes of lime, wet stone and richer hints of dried peach appearing with air. A fantastic wine that will age beautifully and shows the best Chablis can offer. Blanchots is the only Grand Cru Chablis the Domaine Gueguen produce (but watch this space!).
Robin says "Blanchots" comes from "blanc" ("white") due to the high concentration of limestone in its soils. Limestone tends to produce wines that are taut and pure and this 2017 reflects exactly that. Sculpted, refined and polished with notable depth and length. Exactly what Grand Cru Chablis should be."
