Domaine Parpette Condrieu "Piaton" 2016
This tiny domaine is run by Cédric Parpette. Though he is now a third-generation wine producer, he had worked as a mechanic who then left his field of work in order rebuild his family roots. The domaine was originally created in 1986 with only 2.5 hectares. Working alongside his son Cédric, he slowly added to the domaine and now they have around 4 hectares. This Condrieu is nothing short of majestic with peaches, spices and fennel. A bright, ample and aromatic wine that is super seductive.
Robin says "Condrieu can be such a perfumed ample wine. Its wonderfully alluring and some examples can be quite rich. However, Domaine Parpette makes a fresh, poised style that also highlights the citrus and herbal sides of Viognier."
