Domaine Pey Blanc No.1 Rosé 2021 (Magnum)
£35.00
Located due west of the Côtes de Provence appellation and north of the picturesque and bustling town of Aix-en-Provence, Domaine Pey Blanc produces some of the finest well-priced rosé we have tasted. The domaine was established in 1930, but sold its grapes to the local cooperative. When its current owner Gabriel Giusiano took over in 2004, he decided that it was time for them to make their own wine. No. 1 ticks all the boxes for a gorgeous, poised and blush-tinted Provençal rosé. Its succulent fragrance of white peach, wild strawberry and lemon peel lead to a chiselled mouthfeel and a salty, mineral finish. It is a wine that could easily entertain a pool party for hours or accompany a more serious meal.
Robin says "The Côtes de Provence rosé style has taken over the world and based on its fresh elegance, it is easy to see why. This poised beauty finishes on such a fresh, saline finish, it is easy to be reminded that the seaside is not far away."
