Nobody has garnished more attention in recent years as a new vigneron than Thibaud Clerget. It could be his dashing leading man smile or the fact that he resurrected a hibernating Burgundy domaine or that in only a few short years, he is producing some of the region’s best wines. Or all three. The family arguably has the oldest roots in their area, making Thibaud the 28th generation in Pommard/Volnay. From what is considered one of the top 1er Cru vineyards in Pommard comes this wine of sweet red fruit, spice and earthy undertones. Somewhat structured but wonderfully fresh, this wine would benefit from light decanting.
