Wine information

Greyfriars Vineyard is located on the sunny south facing chalk slopes of the ‘Hog’s Back’ at Puttenham just outside of Guildford in the Surrey Hills. With 40 acres under vine, they plant the classic Champagne varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Their range reflects the unique local soil conditions, climate, and heritage of the Surrey North Downs. Greyfriars Non-Vintage Sparkling Cuvée a blend of the three traditional Champagne varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, bottled in July 2017 from a blend from their 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages, theCuvée  was left to age in bottle for two years on its lees. Its freshness  and fruitiness is well noted by nose, yet the wine is soft and dry, with intense lemon, apple and mineral flavours.
