Maison Harbour Santenay 1er Cru La Gravières 2017
£49.00
Colleen and Nicholas Harbour have one of the most endearing stories we know. Born in Canada and USA respectively, they left their two successful careers in finance in 2012 and jumped feet first into oenology and marketing school to pursue a dream to produce pure, terroir-driven wine in Burgundy, and they have not looked back. Upon first taste, we were immediately impressed by their wines’ purity and quality. This Santenay offers a perfumed nose of yellow fruits, spring flowers and bright citrus fruits. Lovely purity and touch of oak toast. Fruit forward with a nice brightness. Only 5 barrels produced.
Robin says "Located at the bottom of the Côte d'Or, Santenay is known more for its reds than its white. But some are excellent and worthy of attention. This is one! A fairly plush wine that still has good delineation and freshness. So plump and mouthfilling."
