Valle Arriba "El Cateno" Malbec de Altura 2600m 2017
Valle Arriba's Raúl Davalos is a 6th generation winemaker and creates beautiful singular expressions of Malbec and Tannat. Only several hundred bottles are produced each year for each cuvée. El Cateno is their highest vineyard and this Malbec offers cooler fruit flavours of crushed blackberries, violets, damson plums and a lick of spice. Such balance and freshness from Argentina.
Robin says "Raúl is such a talented winemaker and his expressions of Malbec are some of the most beautiful I have tasted. "El Cateno" is their Malbec grown in their vineyard with the highest altitude. It shows such purity yet also power. An impressive wine."
