Valle Arriba "El Seclanteno" Tannat de Altura 2200m 2017
£32.50
Located in a remote area of northern Argentina in the Calchaquíe Valley in Salta, Valle Arriba is one of the most unique estates not only in Argentina but the world over. Their lowest vineyard (though still an incredible 2200 metres) has created a fine Tannat exudes a beautifully chiselled palate with finely tuned notes of crushed blackberries, cedar and sweet cherries tomatoes.
Robin says "Tannat is a variety that is far more common in Uruguay or its home in southwest France, Madiran. Valle Arriba produces a delicious version that has all the freshness of Salta with Tannat's firmer innate core. Highly recommended."
