Weingut Hexamer Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Spätlese 2015
£26.00
Family grape growers in Nahe since the 17th Century, in 1960’s Helmut and Elizabeth Hexamer decided to create their own Domaine. Son Harald and his wife Petra carry the family name in some style. This exuberant spätlese has all the freshness, fruit and charm that one expects in a great Riesling. It is sweet and juicy but has notable acidity and minerality which adds incredible lift and poise, creating a wine that carries its fruit to its long finish beautifully. Expressive with notes of pineapple, lime and elderflower, its palate is lacy but dense and layered. A Riesling lovers Riesling!
Robin says "I have known Hexamer since 2008 when I first visited their impressive estate. Their Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg is a delicious and classic Spätlese that ticks so many boxes. Like other Nahe Rieslings, this one tends to offer a bit more density compared to those from the Mosel. A beautiful wine."
